For the past 200 years, we have polluted and abused our environment. Like a boomerang with a vengeance, the mother-earth has responded by assaulting us like never before.
Americans are awash in a sea of toxic chemicals. In 2009, the International Endocrine Society declared that environmental toxins have become a grave concern for public health. The CDC has found BPA (a plastic) in the urine of 93% of Americans 16 and older. In a room of one hundred people, just seven are free of this dangerous substance.
The evidence is all around us. The skyrocketing prevalence of diseases such as infertility, cancer, early hormonal disbalance, Alzheimer’s Disease and childhood disorders such as Autism, ADD/ADHD all indicate that, in your lifetime, something has gone terribly wrong with environmental toxicity.
The Good News: You can detoxify! Detoxification is a dynamic and ongoing process. If you and I had lived in the pre-industrial, clean, chemical-free environment, we would have no reason to resort to detoxification therapies. But we are toxic, because our environment is toxic. Staying well today requires effort and commitment.
Detoxification is a complex medical issue; it cannot be self-administered safely. The first step is identification, through laboratory testing. The testing may include a Heavy Metal Screening and/or identifying your genetic weaknesses of the different detoxification biochemical pathways. Detoxification therapies may include the avoidance {PCB’s and certain toxic plastics}, prescriptions designed to remove heavy metals from the body and adjuvant therapies like Far Infrared Treatments & Colon Hydrotherapy.
